  With the rapid development of brewing industry, environmental problems brought about from this industry are getting more and more severe. Brewing industry consumes a lot of foodstuffs. Owing to low utilization rate of raw materials, much sewage and slags discharged in the production process. In order to adhere to the environment protection law and water pollution control act, avoid water pollution from industry, stipulate project construction and management of industrial sewage, prevent environmental pollution and protect environment and people’s health, national environmental protection department has issued technical stipulation for industrial wastewater treatment engineering (herein after called for stipulation) which is implemented officially from 1st january, 2011. This article explains briefly about brewing sludge dryer which based on heat pump low temperature drying technology. I hope that it can help entrepreneurs in brewing industry.

Food processing industry refers to processing industry which is mainly about agriculture, animal husbandary, fishery and forestry. If it is classified according to raw materials used, food processing industry can be divided into meat products processing, fish processing, egg processing industry, fruit and vegetable processing, dairy processing, sugar industry, grain processing, starch industry, oil industry, condiment industry and food additive industry. Because raw materials in brewing food processing industry are from a very wide range and the kind of raw materials is various, the difference of sewage amount and quality is very obvious. Pollutants of sewage are mainly composed of solids such as color page, fruit shells, dogmeat and animal feathers. Matters floating on sewage contain oil, protein, starch and colloidal sustances. Also, there are silt and other organic matters. There are acid, alkali, salt and sugar melting in sewage. Sewage in food industry is characterized by high content of suspended matters and easily rotten. Sewage discharged in the production process contains high concentration organic matters which are degradable. There are much COD, BOD and SS which will pollute environment severely. If the sewage is discharged into water without effective disposal, a great amount of dissolved oxygen will be consumed, which will cause the death of fish and aquatic organism. Water will be polluted severely. As a result, sewage of food industry, espeicially brewing industry sludge, is a very important topic in modern society. 

Advantages

Sewage front-end processing (air or precipitation): co-use of inorganic coagulant (PAC) and organic polymer flocculant (PAM); Post processing treatment of sludge dewatering: organic polymer flocculant (polyacrylamide) used as sludge dehydrating agent use; for selection of cationic polyacrylamide ion, this should be chosen according to the actual situation of the factory and do further laboratory screening test to determine. 

Structure of brewing sludge dryer:
Sludge dewatering drying: hot air circulating, condensation dewatering drying (dehumidificating heat pump). The core process has two steps: water absortption of sludge (hot air) pneumatolysis equals to wet air and dry materials (pnematolysis); wet air pass through dehumidificating heat pump equals to condensated water and dry hot air (condensation).
1. Adopt heat recovery technology of heat pump; closed drying mode; no waste heat discharged in the whole process; 2. Drying process carried out below 80 degrees centigrade; 3. Static piling: no friction produced between materials and ground; 4. No adhesive phase required (about 60%);5. Granular materials; no dust; 6. Low temperature of outlet materials (below 50 degree centigrade), no need for cooling; can be stored directly. 
Brewing sludge dryer
Low-temperature sludge drying technology which is represented by sludge dewatering dryer represents future development direction. It is a kind of technology which disposes sludge through hot air produced from low-temperature drying system flow circulately in the system. The solid content of sludge can be maintained at 20% after being disposed by plate and frame filter press, bag filter press and centrifugal hydroextractor. After being disposed, the sludge can be dried to dry mud with 90% solid content. There is no need for special uniform distribution of sludge. Also, there is no requirement for moisture content. Only the external temperature is maintained from 10 to 35 degree centigrade, the whole process can run efficiently. The automatic control system of biodiesel sludge dryer can not only improve running efficiency, but also hold good running environment. It is always applied to disposing various sludges from small-medium sewage plants.
