     Compared with foreign countries, our country began to pay attention to organic pollutants in sludge relatively lately. We don’t have systematic research. China's earliest organic pollutants limit control in sludge is first shown in control standards of pollutants in agricultural sludge released in 1984 (GB4284-84) which only explains BAP concentration. This regulations only elaborates that BAP is one of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons which is a kind of organic pollutants. Therefore, we lack systematic explanation for organic matters. In the standard, plant pollutant discharge standard of urban sewage treatment cloth(GB18918-2002) issued in 2002, some certain control index is presented in this standard. These substances are mainly adsorbable organic halides, PCBs, benzo pyrene, benzo two polychlorinated dioxins polychlorinated benzene and furosemide diphenylene-oxide. In the Ministry of Construction issued urban sewage treatment plant sludge used in agriculture matter (cj/t309-2009) in 2009, benzo pyrene and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons have been restricted. China began to pay attention to sludge organic pollution problem.
     From the beginning of 2000, related experts began to make systematical researches on change of sludge nitrogenous organic pollutant, ethers and halogenated hydrocarbons, composting of organic pollutants. The results of the study show that kinds of organic pollutants is relevant to sludge content, sewage source, sewage treatment methods, sludge type, compound structure, physicochemical properties and other factors.
     Because sludge source and treatment methods of slduge are different, its content is different. They point out that using urban sludge for composting can reduce various organic pollutants so as to achieve the purpose of agricultural utilization. In addition, Chen Yong has made primary research to the function of degrading bacteria. These studies lay foundations for development of relevant standards and research in our country.
     It can be seen from the development of sludge treatment and disposal process at home that whether it is sludge drying process, aerobic fermentation, or the latest launch of sludge treatment disposal methods of sludge, the final ownership for sludge is land. For china, a developing agricultural country, the land utilization of urban sewage sludge, especially sewage sludge is an important way to dispose sludge. But how to apply sludge to agricultural field? How to apply sludge safely and greenly are problems we must face and solve. and the organic pollutants in sewage sludge is one of the problems and its solution must be. Domestic related research on sludge organic pollutants is still in the initial stage. We still are lacking in deep and systematical understanding of the transformation of organic the pollutants. Under current situations, sludge can not be used for land, especially agricultural field. It can not provide scientific reference to control pollutant matters. So the study of organic pollutants is still a lot of room for development.  
     Besides attention to the source of sewage treatment, we should pay more attention to removal of organic pollutants. Disposal of sludge and sludge treatment is closely related to each other. If sludge is applied to agricultural field, the most important disposal methods is aerobic fermentation. Strengthening degradation mechanism in the fermentation process become very necessary. There is rare report on this aspect in our country. In the aerobic fermentation process, researches on different operating conditions, the degree of difficulty of different types of organic matter degradation, transformation and control measures, how to improve the degradation rate organic pollutants in sludge, improve the safety and other aspects of the land utilization of sewage sludge will provide a theoretical basis for the development of disposal organic pollutants in china.
     Organic pollutants will cause obvious harm to environment and the human body. we cannot overemphasize or exaggerate its harm. However, we can not neglect its harm. Land utilization of sewage sludge and sludge in agricultural use should make systematical researches on organic pollutants first. Therefore, the focus of China's future of sludge treatment and disposal can put in the organic pollutants in the aerobic fermentation process, the degradation degree of difficulty, degradation rate, transformation rules, land use risk and land use.
